Data Network Cabling
Data network cabling has become a critical component in today’s world of technology, as it allows for efficient and effective data transmission across a wide range of devices. Whether you’re running a small business or a large corporation, having reliable and high-quality cabling is essential for the smooth operation of your day-to-day operations.
Fibre cabling, also known as optical fibre cabling, is a type of cabling that uses thin strands of glass or plastic to transmit data signals using light. This type of cabling is capable of transmitting data over much longer distances than traditional copper cabling and is also more resistant to electromagnetic interference. Fibre cabling is commonly used in high-speed internet connections, as well as in telecommunications networks, data centres, and other applications that require high-speed and reliable data transmission. Additionally, fibre cabling is considered more secure than copper cabling, as it is difficult to tap into the signal without disrupting it.
Category 6 cabling, on the other hand, is a type of twisted pair cabling that is used primarily in Ethernet networks. It is designed to support data transmission speeds of up to 10 Gigabits per second and is commonly used in commercial and industrial applications. It is known as gigabit ethernet cabling. Category 6 gigabyte ethernet cabling is also known for its superior noise reduction capabilities, making it an ideal choice for environments where interference from other electronic devices is a concern.

Client: Fremantle Port Authority (FPA)
Installation and construction of fibre cable to all of the locations at the Fremantle port for CCTV installation. This included breakouts at strategic locations along the wharf, car parks and roof areas to monitor the activities at these locations.
This would now allow for the introduction of CCTV for monitoring. This was completed in a professional and timely manner integrating external cabinets with FOBOT to FOBOT interconnections to cover approx 8km section and going back to the head end for monitoring and storing of information. This was a major step forward in the process for the FPA to be able to capture and monitor the coverage of its car parks, wharf and surrounding areas. This was implemented and designed with the help of Fibre Solutions staff.
At each of the spur cable ends a cabinet and FOBOT were installed, data cables were spliced and then tested with OTDR for continuity.
All reports and documentation were included in the handover as a build pack on completion.

Client: NRW Holdings
Installation and construction of a new micro trenching method to link the existing office to new premises 700 metres away.
The micro trenching was used to install the fibre cable as it was a busy location and using the micro trenching method eliminated the amount of time the trench was open and how many trenches needed to be open. It saved on the reinstatement time and costs.
We are now introducing this into other areas where high traffic and pedestrian management is an issues.
This was implemented and designed by Fibre Solutions.
